Baton Rouge police are investigating the death of a nurse who died more than a week after being attacked by a mental health patient who, as of last night, had not been charged.
The incident happened April 1st at Baton Rouge General Mid City hospital. The nurse, whose name has not been released, reportedly suffered a torn leg muscle and a head injury.
Preliminary autopsy results released yesterday show she died from a blood clot in her leg and a pulmonary embolism, but it's not yet confirmed if her death was a result of the attack.
