State police say a Baton Rouge man is facing multiple charges after his car slammed into a man on U.S. 90 in West Baton Rouge Parish killing him.

The late Tuesday night incident left 28-year-old Frank Blankenship of Walnut Grove, North Carolina dead at the scene.

Troopers say the driver of the car, 55-year-old Carl Perkins, was arrested for vehicular homicide and driving under suspension. They say a breathalyzer test indicated his alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
