A couple in Denham Springs has been charged in the death of a toddler.
Prosecutors say 23-year-old Kelsey Barth and her finance, 22-year-old Shane Posey, abused Barth's two-year-old daughter over an extended period of time.
Police found the girl unresponsive last week at the couple's home. Doctors believe the child died from severe head trauma.
