There's yet another delay for those hoping for the incorporation of the City of St. George as residents in that area seek a divorce from Baton Rouge taxes and the perceived under delivery of services.
Governor Edwards office says the issue will not be on the May election ballot since it says the petition for change hadn't been received as of last Friday. Reports say Edwards will have to decide by July 9th if the matter is to go before voters on October 12th.
The effort to incorporate St. George has been going on for years, but lacked support to go before voters in 2015.
