Pedestrian Killed On I-110 While Trying To Retrieve Cellphone

Baton Rouge police say a man is dead after being struck and killed by an impaired driver while trying to retrieve his cellphone on Interstate 110 in the capital city.

Officials say 32-year-old Cyril Greene died at the scene. He was a passenger in a car when he opened the door of the vehicle for unknown reasons and the phone fell out.

While searching the interstate for the device he was hit by a car being driven by 36-year-old Christopher London. Officers arrested London on charges of vehicular homicide and DWI.
