IBM won't be establishing a customer service contact center in Baton Rouge.
The news comes nearly two years after the company announced the plans, which would have brought hundreds of positions to the downtown area. The decision not to move forward with plans won't impact tax incentives given to the company since the project wasn't in the state's new contract with the company.
A spokesperson for IBM says although they no longer need to bring a customer contact center to the area, they're still working to bring more opportunities to Baton Rouge.
