A man considered armed and dangerous after false allegations that he fired at a Baton Rouge police officer is suing the city, the officer and others in federal court.

The lawsuit was filed yesterday by 22-year-old Raheem Howard. He says his rights were violated and his "life and safety" put in extreme jeopardy by his illegal detention and the falsifying of information by Officer Yuseff Hamadeh.

A subsequent investigation and review of audio and video recordings led to Hamadeh's firing.
