EBR Parish Attorney Resigns Amid Move To Fire Her

The East Baton Rouge Metro Council will be tasked today with hiring a new parish attorney.

Lea Anne Batson has resigned after a measure was introduced earlier this month seeking to have her fired. She says that council members had not cited a specific problem with her job performance.

Batson took over as parish attorney after the firing of Mary Roper in 2014 and had worked in the parish attorney's office for over three decades.
