There's some potential good news for homeowners whose property is located in floodways.
Restore Louisiana announced a $45 million program Monday that will offer buyouts of up to $200,000 if a resident agrees to move out of a home located in disaster-prone areas.
The locations, and there are said to be about 450 of them, are subject to water flow from a 100-year flood.
Restore Louisiana is the agency that's been assisting victims of the 2016 floods.
