BATON ROUGE - One person is dead following an overnight shooting at an apartment complex in Baton Rouge.
Around 12:30 a.m., law enforcement responded to the Lakeside Villas Apartments on Weldwood Drive, off of Millerville Road, after receiving a call that shots were heard in the area. At the scene, authorities found a 25-year-old Ashton Wells suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near building #2. Wells was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wells was a local rapper that went by the name 'Blvd Quick.'
There are no known suspects or motives at this time, police say.
