UPDATE: State Police reopened I-10 around 2:15 p.m. Monday.
A serious accident in Breaux Bridge has caused such heavy delays that State Police Troop A have closed down I-10 westbound at LA 415.
Troopers tell WJBO Newsradio that drivers will have to take U.S. 190 to I-49 to clear the accident route.
The interstate closure is expected to last several hours, as of 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Photos from the crash scene show heavy damage to one vehicle. A post from State Police Troop I described the accident as "a minor-injury crash/vehicle fire".
