The medical marijuana program at Southern University is rolling on thanks to new leadership.
The Pennsylvania-based Ilera Holistic Healthcare has purchased the 68% majority share from Advanced Biometrics.
The university's board voted almost unanimously in favor of Ilera after growing delays and lawsuits with Advanced Biometrics.
The state of Louisiana only allows medical marijuana to be processed through Louisiana State and Southern universities.
