An Oklahoma officer acquitted in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man is being un-invited from speaking at a law enforcement conference in Baton Rouge.

The Southeastern Homicide Investigators Association says it has rescinded its invitation to Rogers County Sheriff's Deputy Betty Shelby following pressure from civil rights leaders.

Shelby resigned from the Tulsa Police Department after her manslaughter acquittal last year. She was scheduled to speak this week in Baton Rouge on the topic "Surviving the Aftermath of a Critical Incident."
