The man who has been heading up the fundraising arm of Our Lady Of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge is out of a job.
Hospital officials announced yesterday that John Paul Funes had been fired after a third-party investigation uncovered a "pattern of forgery and embezzlement of funds."
No dollar amounts of loss to OLOL were announced with the case now being investigated by law enforcement.
Funes had been CEO of Our Lady of the Lake Foundation for more than a decade, leading numerous multi-million-dollar fundraising campaigns.
