A December trial date is set for four Louisiana men who entered not guilty pleas yesterday in Jackson to charges they bribed Mississippi officials to land jail contracts in the state.

Michael LeBlanc Sr. of Baton Rouge, Michael LeBlanc Jr. of Prairieville, Tawasky Ventroy of Opelousas and Jacque Jones of LaPlace maintained their innocence during a federal court hearing.

They're accused of trying to bribe the Kemper County sheriff with casino chips and paid $2,000 to former state corrections commissioner Chris Epps who went to prison for collecting more than a million dollars in bribes.
