The band director at Denham Springs High is being replaced by the school's assistant band director.
Vince Fortado was placed on administrative leave last month after school officials learned that he allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a student five years ago at a Texas school where he then worked.
He resigned when police began investigating.
There's no confirmation on whether Fortado resigned his post in Denham Springs or was fired. He's been replaced by Carlye Latas.
