Officials with the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program say thousands of people are a week away from missing the deadline for completing an application.
The agency says it is still awaiting the paperwork from 3,000 people who filled out a survey following the 2016 floods.
The deadline is next Monday, and to date, grant awards totaling nearly $480 million have been offered to just over 14,000 eligible homeowners who submitted applications earlier.
