Six coastal parishes in Louisiana will split flood protection funding.
The $41 million will not only cover flood protection costs, but also will help with coastal land loss projects.
Federal funds were given to Louisiana after Hurricane Isaac in 2012, and it will be divvied up among Jefferson, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. John, St. Tammany and Terrebonne Parishes.
