It'll be next summer before the negligent homicide case against former LSU student Matthew Naquin in the alcohol-related hazing death of Maxwell Gruver goes to trial.
A judge Thursday set Naquin's trial date for July 8, 2019.
Gruver of Roswell, Georgia died last September following a hazing as a pledge to Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Two other former students and frat members pleaded no contest to misdemeanor hazing charges.
