A tropical wave expected to emerge off the African coast by the end of the week is getting a better chance of strengthening further from the National Hurricane Center.
Forecasters are now putting that possibility at a medium chance, 50%, over the next five days.
The NHC says those in the Cabo Verde Islands should keep an eye on the system.
