An audit by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office is showing the Housing Authority of East Baton Rouge Parish misused public funds.
The 18-page report documents over three years of misused money, totaling close to $9,000.
According to the audit, over $5,000 of public money were spent on food and office celebrations that included a picnic and an annual Christmas party.
The remaining $3,600 were spent on presents and prizes for employees.
