An obviously under-cared for elderly woman is dead and two people are in custody charged with manslaughter/cruelty to the infirmed.
Baton Rouge police arrested 36-year-old Chasity Lewis and 22-year-old Carlnessa Butler Tuesday following the Sunday death of 77-year-old Barbara Lewis-Brown.
The three lived at the same address where authorities say the victim became infected with Stage 4 bedsores and suffered from dehydration and was malnourished, all of which an autopsy determined contributed to her death.
