A bike-share program could be up and running in Baton Rouge within the first six months of next year.
That's the word from the mayor's office as the city-parish government is now seeking a firm to launch what's become somewhat of a phenomenon across the U.S.
The two-phase program would create 80 bike stations with upwards of 800 bikes available to rent by the hour or through an annual membership.
