At least eight people are facing charges related to the death of a man whose dismembered remains were found Sunday in Livingston Parish.
They are believed to be those of a Gonzales man who went missing earlier this month.
The remains were located in a wooded area off Hood Road, several miles away from a home where deputies earlier in the day executed a search warrant.
Detectives are still working to determine where the victim was killed and the circumstances that led to his death.
