The July 4th holiday may be approaching but gas prices in the state are holding steady.
AAA reports the average price of regular is continuing to hover around the $2.57 a gallon mark across Louisiana, right where it's been since last Monday. Even so, drivers are forking over 53 cents more for a gallon of the fuel compared to a year ago.
Here in Baton Rouge, regular is averaging $2.54 a gallon, unchanged from a week ago.
