A search for an escaped inmate is now over in Baton Rouge Parish.
Louisiana's Department of Corrections reported Stephen Dyer was able to sneak away while picking up trash along Plank Road near the East Baton Rouge Parish line bordering East Feliciana Parish.
A correction's officer noticed Dyer was missing when he did a head count around 10:45 this morning.
The Department of Corrections announced Dyer was back in custody by Monday afternoon.
Sheriff's departments from East Baton Rouge and East Feliciana and Zachary Police contributed to the search.
