Thousands of children in the Baton Rouge area and millions nationwide are benefiting from the federally funded Summer Food Service Program offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in low-income areas.
There are 75 locations, nine of them libraries in the parish where children ages 18 and under can receive breakfast and lunch free of charge.
However, the Summer Meals Program, as it's also called, ends July 27th.
