WBRZ: 3 of 4 Escaped Inmates Back In Custody

Three of four inmates who escaped the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center early Sunday morning are now back in custody.

WBRZ News 2 reports:

William Deans was located in Morgan City, LA, during the early morning hours of Monday. Two other inmates, 28-year-old Jamie Scarbrough and 18-year-old Tanner Scarbrough were located and apprehended by the Picayune Police Department in Picayune, Mississippi.

Authorities are still searching for Elias Todd.

Four other suspects were arrested as a result of the investigation. Brooke Mcmanus, Bonita Federer, Brandon Collier, and William Haff are all facing charges of assisting escape.

The four were jailed on the following charges:

  • Deans - domestic abuse by strangulation
  • Jamie Scarbrough - illegal possession of stolen things, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana
  • Tanner Scarbrough - illegal possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated number
  • Todd - theft of a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, theft, and criminal damage to property
