Frequent EBR ABC Board No Shows Replaced

There's a big change today in the roster of volunteers who make up the Alcohol Beverage Control Board in East Baton Rouge Parish.

WBRZ News 2 reports more than half who had been serving on the panel were replaced last night for failing a requirement to attend at least 75% of the board's meetings.

The owner of XBIO, a Florida Boulevard nightclub, sued after an ABC decision to deny the facility a permanent license, citing an improperly constituted board due to attendance violations.

The business will get a new hearing later this month.
