A teacher is behind bars in Baton Rouge, accused of assaulting a six-year-old.
Gregory Bonvillian was arrested Monday on charges of cruelty to juveniles and simple battery. The principal at Park Forest Elementary School called authorities after Bonvillian allegedly banged a student's head against a brick wall before throwing him about five feet onto a sidewalk.
He had reportedly taken the child outside because he had been acting up in class.
