Amber Alert canceled for missing 2-month-old, suspect still wanted

UPDATE: Louisiana State Police have located 2-month-old Amari Daniels and canceled the AMBER Alert. She and the suspected vehicle were found just before 3 a.m. Friday. Authorities have not located her father, Akeam Daniels. He is still believed to be armed and dangerous. 

NEW IBERIA - Louisiana State Police issued an AMBER Alert for 2-month-old Amari Daniels. The child is believed to be with her father, 26-year-old Akeam Masheeq Daniels, a suspect in a deadly shooting on Thursday evening.

Authorities warn the public to not approach Daniels, as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

According to KATC-TV reports, witnesses tell deputies Daniels and the shooting victim were arguing when the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Mississippi Street. 

The victim, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of family, was transferred to a New Iberia hospital where he later died. 

Troopers say Daniels is believed to be driving a white 1979 two-door Cadillac bearing Louisiana license plate 698BJX.  The vehicle has a black top.

The vehicle may also be occupied by Isaiah Johnson, Jr., a.k.a. Isaiah Francisco and Avan Francisco a.k.a. Avan Cole.  Isaiah Johnson, Jr., a.k.a. Isaiah Francisco is a 25-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes.  He is approximately 5’9” tall and weighs about 170 pounds.  Avan Francisco a.k.a. Avan Cole is a 31-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes.  He is approximately 5’7” and weighs about 145 pounds.
