Baton Rouge police say a drunk driver is facing several charges following a five-vehicle pileup on I-10 late Sunday afternoon.
Officials say 25-year-old Kristen Perkins was driving east in the westbound lanes near Perkins Road and Acadian Thruway. She reportedly told police that she had consumed three mixed drinks prior to the wreck.
One of the vehicles involved was a prisoner transport van that was not transporting any inmates at the time. Two people suffered minor injuries.
