(WBRZ News 2) The former head of Louisiana State Police is now the focus of an FBI investigation.
Retired Colonel Mike Edmonson is staring down the barrel of a public corruption scandal due to personal use of state resources that he "could have" used as "perks" of the job.
The state legislative auditor's office has already released their report on topics that include the use of the state police fleet, personnel, and resources including the state police helicopter; free dry cleaning at the governor's mansion; and improper travel.
In a less than two-page response to the audit, Edmonson focused on what he believes was “inherent unfairness” and asked for a separate investigation into how the documents got out.
