Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred along I-12 East in Baton Rouge last night.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. when a vehicle left the interstate near the Millerville exit and crashed into a tree.
Authorities say Alexandra Babcock lost control of her 2017 Honda Accord after striking a 2012 Nissan Altima as she merged into the inside left lane.
Babcock was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Altima was not hurt. WBRZ adds that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
