Despite the expected bitter cold weather, crowds are expected to swell in advance of the Red Stick drop New Year's Eve that will usher in 2018 in Baton Rouge.
The Red Stick Revelry Celebration kicks off Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. at the North Boulevard Town Square.
There will be plenty of live music ahead of the Red Stick drop with the marking of the new year also accompanied by fireworks on the Mississippi River.
