No injuries are being reported after a Christmas night fire tore through part of a Baton Rouge apartment complex.
The blaze erupted around nine last night at Jefferson Shadows Apartments on Jefferson Highway near Bluebonnet, damaging upward of 24 units. The flames began in one building and spread to a second before firefighters could knock them down.
Fire investigators believe the blaze was sparked by an overheated battery for a remote-controlled car that was left charging on a bed.
