7 Arrested In Online Prostitution Sting

(WBRZ News 2) Authorities arrested six women for prostitution and one Baton Rouge man for pandering after a sting conducted through a website, according to booking documents.

The Advocate reports that one woman, Kenisha Harris, was booked on additional counts of pandering, resisting an officer and battery after fighting with officers who met her at the adjoining gas station of a Baton Rouge hotel.

Harris, 27, of California, allegedly screamed profanity at the officers and pulled her arms away from officers attempting to detain her. Authorities said Harris allegedly continued to fling her arms around and kicked a deputy as she was being led to a police vehicle.

Harris was allegedly transporting one of the women to the area to participate in prostitution, according to The Advocate.

The male suspect arrested, Dmarcus Brown, was also arrested for allegedly transporting a woman to the hotel to participate in prostitution.

Authorities said the woman told police that Brown, 26, organized all of her "dates" through the website and transported her to them.

Authorities arrested five other women Thursday with one count of prostitution after being advised to meet an undercover agent at the hotel.

Those arrested were:

Brittany Allen, 25 of Modesto, California; Tameka Bess, 19 of Victoria, Texas; Leah Lee, 22 of Sacramento, California; Jahnai Wilson, 21 of San Francisco, California; and Alyssa Champagne, 19 of Prairieville.
