Accused Serial Killer In Court Wednesday

A trial date is pending for a white Baton Rouge man who pleaded not guilty Wednesday in the shooting deaths of two black men and firing bullets into the residence of a black family.

23-year-old Kenneth James Gleason was indicted last month on charges that include single counts of first and second-degree murder in the September killings of Bruce Cofield and Donald Smart.

Police say the shootings were possibly racially motivated.
