A Baton Rouge man will spend decades in prison after being convicted of crimes that the judge said were a form of modern-day slavery.

State District Judge Trudy White ruled Monday that 46-year-old Carlos Lampley will serve 40 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

He was found guilty in May of trafficking a child for sexual purposes, human trafficking and attempted human trafficking. His female victims were 15, 17 and 20 years-old.
