The combining of drugs and alcohol is being blamed for the recent death of an LSU student.
Benjamin Balser was found dead in his apartment the weekend of October 13th. The East Baton Rouge Parish coroner has concluded his death was accidental, and the result of having ingested alcohol, alprazolam and cocaethylene.
While Balser was a former fraternity member, officials say there's no connection between Balser's death and that of Max Gruver, who died in an alcohol-related hazing that led to the arrest of ten people.
