There are only nine candidates left in the running to become the next chief of the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Two candidates from Lake Charles withdrew yesterday because they didn't want to be publicly interviewed for the post.
Those interviews involving the remaining applicants will take place at two public forums on November 16th and 30th in the Metro Council chambers. Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome says the next chief should have a "bold vision for excellence."
