Baton Rouge police say 26-year-old Akeem Yarbrough is jailed for the attempted kidnapping and battery on a jogger four years ago near the LSU lakes.
The announcement of his arrest came yesterday.
Yarbrough is accused of strangling the woman to unconsciousness and then repeatedly punching her in the stomach. Her attacker took off on foot after she regained consciousness and screamed.
