The Central Community School System is getting a new leader. The school board opted yesterday to promote from within and tapped Jason Fountain as the district's new superintendent.
He has been serving as director of secondary curriculum and instruction after first starting as an assistant principal almost nine years ago.
He'll succeed current Superintendent Michael Faulk when he leaves at the end of the year to head up the Louisiana Association of School Superintendents.
