LSU Frat Chapter Shut Down, Deemed "Unsafe"

Yet another fraternity chapter at LSU is now shut down.

The Advocate reports national leaders of Lambda Chi officially closed the chapter this past Sunday in a vote that determined it was "unsafe."

The chapter, that had just over a dozen active members, had been placed on probation through May 2019 after repeated violations, including a hazing incident where pledges were forced to drink alcohol.

Pi Delta Theta was shut down after pledge Maxwell Gruver of Roswell, Georgia died after a hazing that elevated his blood-alcohol level to .495.
