A reminder that hurricane season isn't officially over yet.
Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center are keeping an eye on an area of low pressure near the northeastern coast of Nicaragua. It's expected to move slowly northward toward the Gulf.
While it's being given only a ten-percent chance of becoming a tropical system over the next 48 hours, the chances increase to 50 percent through the next five days.
