A one-year-old girl is dead from injuries suffered late Saturday afternoon when a car backed over her in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The sheriff's department says the toddler was critically injured and died yesterday.
39-year-old Barry Laphand was arrested at the scene for first-degree negligent injuring. He admitted to consuming some alcohol prior to the accident, but his B-A-C was below the legal limit.
