Baton Rouge police are investigating the shooting death of a woman last night.
Officers responded around 8 p.m. and found the victim inside a vehicle near a Family Dollar store. The shooting is said to have taken place near the intersection of Evangeline Street and Foster Drive.
Witnesses told police that a man walked up to the vehicle while it was stopped at a traffic light and shot 56-year-old Denise Williams.
BRPD is still searching for a motive.
