Gas prices keep dropping in Baton Rouge, but they are still quite a bit higher than a year ago.
AAA reports the average price of regular in the metro area stands at $2.22 today, or about a nickel lower than last Monday.
Over the past month, the average price of regular in the capital city has dropped about 12 cents, but it still 16 cents higher compared to the average price recorded last year on this date.
