The 10 a.m. Thursday update from the National Hurricane Center increased the threat of a possible category 1 hurricane making landfall in southeast Louisiana Sunday morning.
For now, Tropical Storm Nate is impacting Nicaragua and will be moving over land for the next couple of hours.
Nate is expected to reach the Gulf by Saturday as a hurricane.
