Police in the Baton Rouge area are investigating two accidents, one that left a young boy dead and another where a child suffered minor injuries.
Five-year-old Malachi Rushing was killed Wednesday afternoon in Denham Springs when he stepped in front of a vehicle after making a purchase from an ice cream truck.
In Baton Rouge, an eleven-year-old escaped serious injury yesterday morning when hit by a car while going to board a school bus.
